Six days of mostly hard, wet hiking and we are finished! The West Highland Way was beautiful, wild and remote and the Scottish people were unfailingly kind. I'm a little disappointed that we didn't get to hear more Scottish music or see any castles but I loved seeing this part of the world in depth. We were warned repeatedly about the dreaded Scottish midges, but never really encountered them until today. Nasty little bugs!
