Day 3 and 4 WHW

(For technical reasons this is the third day that I have written these posts☹️)

Day 3 was set to be the longest hike of the trip, from Rowardennan, where we ended the previous day, to Crianlarich, 20 miles. The eastern shore of Loch Lomond is wild, roadless, and remote. It is also beautiful, very wet, and full of large rocks that we needed to scramble over. Very slow going! By late afternoon when we finally reached the end of the loch, a steady rain began to fall. We arrived exhausted and dirty.

Am "honesty box"--homemade goodies in the middle of nowhere!

Day 4 proved much easier but again ended in a driving rain. We are really in the Highlands now!

This graveyard may date from the 800s.
